Slimsticks are a weight loss aid that can reduce calorie intake by 30% and control your appetite mechanism for up to eight hours. We put them to the test.

Slimsticks are a clinically proven natural dietary supplement in the form of sachets. They contain natural palm and oat oils, and an active ingredient called Fabuless™, which can keep you feeling full for up to eight hours, according to the manufacturers Inovate Health. They can help you to manage your calorie intake and reduce your body fat – especially around the middle. They are sold as a box of 30, which is a month’s supply and includes a diet and menu plan for portion control and healthy eating.

Lose Fat With Fabuless™ Appetite Suppressant

Slimsticks contain a natural ingredient aptly named Fabuless™. This is a patented oil and water emulsion that can be added to food and is used in dietary supplements. It is made from natural dietary fats – palm and oat oil. The body slowly digests it which means you will eat smaller portions and feel full for longer.

Franco Beer from Inovate Health describes Slimsticks as “an effective, healthy and natural way to control eating so helping you lose weight and stay slimmer so no more yo-yo dieting.

“Independent clinical studies show conclusively that people using Fabuless™, the active ingredient found in Slimsticks, not only eat less, but also feel fuller for longer as well as cutting out snacking in between meals. Interestingly, people using Slimsticks eat less but don’t notice the difference,” he says.

How to Use Slimsticks Diet Supplements

Slimsticks are simple and convenient to use, unlike some dietary supplements. Add a sachet to whatever you are drinking – milk, water, juice, coffee or tea – before you eat. Use two sachets a day for the first month (one at breakfast and one at lunch) and then drop to one a day. There is also a recipe plan to help you with meal planning and portion control.

A Long-term Weight Loss Plan

“Obesity is a major epidemic,” says Lucy Jones, a registered dietitian at the Whittington NHS Trust, London. "The scale of the issue is affecting the nation’s health as well as our economy. With so many contributing factors, we need a multi-pronged attack in terms of treatment. Individuals should use any supplement, drug or surgery as a tool, alongside life-long changes to eating, exercise and attitudes.

“We need to embrace evidence-based new approaches or products which help people maintain a healthy weight, whilst being mindful that there is not a one-size fits all and more long-term evidence is needed to find the best weight loss methods,” she says.

Slimsticks are a motivating addition to any long-term weight loss plan, and they don't cause any side effects. However, the key to sustaining a healthy weight is a good diet and exercise – at least 80% of the time, says holistic nutritionist Fiona Corliss. It is essential to treat yourself now and then – you're not likely to stick to a diet if it feels like deprivation!

Higher quality and organic foods also taste better and will increase your energy levels so you will naturally eat less. The excess salt and chemicals added to junk foods can be quite addictive and induce food cravings, which are hard to break.

Slimsticks cost £1 a day or £29.99 per pack (one month’s supply) and are available to buy online from Slimsticks or Lloyds Pharmacy. They are also on sale in the US.

Our tester says: "They do work and keep you feeling full for longer so there's less picking at food during the day. I found them easy and convenient to use as there's no need to prepare special shakes. I'm using them to kickstart my little black dress pre-Christmas workout!"
